Guess what the Congressional Budget Office Says?

The richest Americans are the least likely to spend the extra money that they get as a result of a tax cut. They are more likely to save it or to invest it offshore.

Some of you suspected that ^ already, now didn't you. What? Is trickle-down not working for you?

Think about our anticipated current need for disaster relief as Hurricane Sandy approaches.

Now think about the fact that Mitt would abolish FEMA and let each municipality clean up after itself.

Read about it here and see video of his related statement:

Mitt reaffirmed his support today for an Indiana Senate candidate who stated yesterday that "it is something that God intended to happen" when rape results in conception.

The candidate is Richard Mourdock, the only Senate candidate that Mitt has created aTV ad for so far.

A comment from the Mitt campaign states "...we still support him."

To just whom exactly does Mitt seem like a moderate?

Mitt claimed in last night's debate that "its already illegal in this country to have automatic weapons." - NOT TRUE

In 1996, a federal law banned the manufacture and sale of automatic weapons to civilians, but automatic weapons that were already owned by private individuals at the time of the law going into effect remain legal to buy and sell today. According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, there are about 457,000 of such weapons legally owned by civilians today.

Mitt said that he'd like to see no new gun control laws.

Obama stated his wish to reintroduce the ban on assault weapons (semi-automatic weapons).

There are over 700 mayors in this country who agree with Obama, and they are the ones who deal with gun violence and its aftermath most directly. Check out Mayors Against Illegal Guns to see who sides with Obama on this one.

Mitt says that Obama waited 14 days before calling the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Libya a terrorist attack - NOT TRUE

"No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.  Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America.  We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act.  And make no mistake, justice will be done."
Obama did say that the attack was an act of terror, the day after it happened.

Looking forward to the next debate, especially after the last one  -

I'm talking about the V.P. debate!

Not only did Biden turn in a masterful case of showmanship that paid off , but Ryan repeated some of the same myths that Mitt has been touting.

The NCDP lists this one:

Lie #1: Ryan and Romney's 5 point plan would create jobs.

False.

It would be a plan to allow massive profits for a select few with no guarantee of trickle-down. Listen, we're getting closer to Monopoly-era big business in this country, and it will only get worse with Republicans in control. They will pave the way for the an employer-directed society, if we're not careful. We don't want to work in the mines, after all. Nor have I ever wished that I'd been alive to live among the working class in the in the early 1900's, when giant companies provided jobs, but not for a great society.

Vote Obama/Biden, people.

When Mitt (or Scott Brown) says that he "won't raise taxes on any American*," he means the rich* at the expense of the poor.

This evening, in his debate with Elizabeth Warren, Scott Brown said that he "won't raise taxes on any American."

Ironically, Scott Brown has turned down the chance to cut taxes for 98% of Americans because the top 2% weren't included. I guess that its all or nothing for the Brownie. How do you like `dem apples?

We have no reason to believe that Mitt would do anything differently than Scott. Mitt is the pits.

Mitt Lies

Mitt lied through his teeth for most of the debate on Wednesday.

(He also changed his position on several key points. Does anyone believe him?)

  • When he claimed that "pre-existing conditions are covered under my plan." They're not.
  • When he said that President Obama had "cut Medicare by $716 billion to pay for Obamacare." Obama didn't.
  • When he denied proposing a $5 trillion tax cut. He did.
  • When he said President Obama had "added almost as much to the federal debt as all the prior presidents combined." Not even close.
  • When he resurrected "death panels." That was called "one of the biggest whoppers of the night."
  • When he stated that half the green energy companies given stimulus funds had failed. Onlyif three out of nearly three dozen is half.

Mitt's Math Doesn't Add Up

Mitt claimed n the debate last night that the deficit has doubled under Obama's leadership.

Federal deficit in 2009: $1.4 trillion

Federal deficit in 2012: $1.1 trillion

Closing Loopholes that Simply Don't Exist

Mitt claimed in the debate last night that "closing loopholes" would make up for the $5 trillion decrease in tax revenue that he is proposing (he said that he would cut all marginal tax rates by 20% = $5 trillion of tax revenue). When you add up the existing loopholes, they do not add up to $5 trillion.

Maybe Mitt is magic?

Actually, these ^ are true things about Mitt.
Mitt's the pits.
He represents the worst side of the American business model. Pass it on.

Mitt's foot-in-mouth quotes of the day:

" I can change Washington, I will change Washington, we'll get the job done from the inside. - 9/20/12

"I don't think you can change Washington from the inside." - 2007

Actual donations to either of these campaigns ^ is likely hazardous to your health.

Mitt's the Pitts, and Brown is going down!

Senator Brown confirmed in his debate with Elizabeth Warren tonight that, like Mitt, he too will protect lower taxes on ultra-wealthy Americans. He denies that this comes at an expense to middle and lower income Americans. In saying this, the Senator shows that he is ignorant of the tax codes.

Mitt is now spouting a vehement argument (probably taking Rush's cue), that the redistibution of American wealth is a travesty. He now truly speaks for the 1%. After writing off 47% percent as basket cases, admitting that very few pay all that much in taxes anyhow, Mitt now wears it on his sleeve.

Don't let `em take it from you, Mitt! You built it all by yourself, after all. No thanks to the society around you!  You're not in it for the rest of us, we can see that. Go get `em, tiger!

Mitt Romney: Robbin the Hood

Mitt's Plan for America steals from the poor and gives to the rich.

Mitt's is calling for much higher taxes on the middle class:
  • Romney's plan raises taxes on the bottom 95 percent of Americans.
  • The average middle class family with children will see a tax increase of more than $2000.
  • If you make less than $200,000 a year, that's ^ about $500 per person.
And Mitt is calling for much lower taxes on the wealthiest Americans.
  • Romney's plan includes a large tax cut for only the wealthiest 5% of Americans.
  • His plan also includes a $247,000 tax cut for the wealthiest 0.1% of Americans, and that is on top  of the Bush tax cuts.
  • For good measure, Mitt includes a new $87,000 tax cut for every millionaire on top of the Bush tax cuts.
What is this? Government by Monoploy game cards?
Make a million dollars and get a get-out-of-jail free card! *

*Not actually a part of Mitt's Plan for America

Massachusetts knows that Mitt's the pitts.
This kid sure fuckin' knows it.

Welcome. This space is dedicated to the informed disgust with the current Republican candidate for the office of President in our country of these United States of America.

As I am sure your know, a core argument of Romney's presidential campaign is that he knows how to create jobs. As governor of Massachusetts, the state ranked 47th in job creation during his term. Sounds like Mitt's offering us some bottom-barrel leadership!
