Think about our anticipated current need for disaster relief as Hurricane Sandy approaches.

Now think about the fact that Mitt would abolish FEMA and let each municipality clean up after itself.

Read about it here and see video of his related statement:

Mitt reaffirmed his support today for an Indiana Senate candidate who stated yesterday that "it is something that God intended to happen" when rape results in conception.

The candidate is Richard Mourdock, the only Senate candidate that Mitt has created aTV ad for so far.

A comment from the Mitt campaign states "...we still support him."

To just whom exactly does Mitt seem like a moderate?

Mitt claimed in last night's debate that "its already illegal in this country to have automatic weapons." - NOT TRUE

In 1996, a federal law banned the manufacture and sale of automatic weapons to civilians, but automatic weapons that were already owned by private individuals at the time of the law going into effect remain legal to buy and sell today. According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, there are about 457,000 of such weapons legally owned by civilians today.

Mitt said that he'd like to see no new gun control laws.

Obama stated his wish to reintroduce the ban on assault weapons (semi-automatic weapons).

There are over 700 mayors in this country who agree with Obama, and they are the ones who deal with gun violence and its aftermath most directly. Check out Mayors Against Illegal Guns to see who sides with Obama on this one.

Mitt says that Obama waited 14 days before calling the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Libya a terrorist attack - NOT TRUE

"No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.  Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America.  We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act.  And make no mistake, justice will be done."
Obama did say that the attack was an act of terror, the day after it happened.

Looking forward to the next debate, especially after the last one  -

I'm talking about the V.P. debate!

Not only did Biden turn in a masterful case of showmanship that paid off , but Ryan repeated some of the same myths that Mitt has been touting.

The NCDP lists this one:

Lie #1: Ryan and Romney's 5 point plan would create jobs.

False.

It would be a plan to allow massive profits for a select few with no guarantee of trickle-down. Listen, we're getting closer to Monopoly-era big business in this country, and it will only get worse with Republicans in control. They will pave the way for the an employer-directed society, if we're not careful. We don't want to work in the mines, after all. Nor have I ever wished that I'd been alive to live among the working class in the in the early 1900's, when giant companies provided jobs, but not for a great society.

Vote Obama/Biden, people.

When Mitt (or Scott Brown) says that he "won't raise taxes on any American*," he means the rich* at the expense of the poor.

This evening, in his debate with Elizabeth Warren, Scott Brown said that he "won't raise taxes on any American."

Ironically, Scott Brown has turned down the chance to cut taxes for 98% of Americans because the top 2% weren't included. I guess that its all or nothing for the Brownie. How do you like `dem apples?

We have no reason to believe that Mitt would do anything differently than Scott. Mitt is the pits.
